This week’s emperor: Mr. Gothicus

Click the picture to make it ridiculously large.

The one who debuted this week is the older brother of the Super Dimensional Emperor Quintillus, erm, full name Marcus Aurelius Claudius Quintillus, Mr. Gothicus.
I drew him in close-fitting trousers that are easy to move in… Braccae are rather short.

In Rome he was a wildly popular hero of an emperor. Even Mr. Constantine II, the oldest of the three brothers who would come to rule Rome peacefully after Gothicus, was a huge fan of his, so much so that he’d brag about Gothicus being his ancestor.

The oldest brother was such a big fan of Gothicus that there are even rumors that he added weird things to the historical records about Gothicus, like “He could shoot lasers from his hands!” or, “When Gothicus smiled, the country prospered,” or, “Anyway, he was just a really great guy, ok?”

From the bonus book

Kinda like this.

The background for the page on the god Aten.
He’s so cute and oblivious that I can understand why Pharaoh Ahkenaten was so taken with him. He was the type of god that would only speak to the pharaoh.

A German and his oldest brother who were borrowed to help with making the copy books.

I ended up going to a print shop for the history (no-longer-a) copy book, so they became actual books. They put the books together so nicely and in such a large quantity, I’m glad I left it to them.

IC card!

This is the IC card. I like that even the backing has a design on it.
I’ll be throwing in an extra postcard-sized calendar too.

As for the extra xeroxed-book about history, it’ll contain scenes like this about England and that about Spain, as well as odd history tidbits and pointless info about the characters. Those are the kind of contents you can expect.

Mr. Mark Antony

Antony

When Pax Romana began, Antony was extremely popular with the Roman citizens because they thought, “A man in love is so cool!”
Roman citizens were really carefree.

Marcus Antonius is Mark Antony in English.
It sounds like some guy who lives in Canada.

Cleopatra the 7th

・There is also a theory that Antony loved Cleopatra since quite a bit before.

・I forgot to draw both Caesar’s and Antony’s ahoge…
Caesar’s is in the same place as Romano’s, and Antony’s is in the same place as Veneziano’s.

Announcement

[T/N: file name: muminnanokore.jpg = “Is this really Moomin!?”]

I’m really sorry to have kept you all waiting for such a long time!
I plan to continue the Halloween event for a short period starting on 2nd November and also post up this year’s Halloween costumes.

I’m only going to wrap things up with a little extra on the side, so this year I will be drawing and posting requests at my normal update pace.

But since I’d feel left out if I don’t do anything on 31st, I plan to post a comic strip that I’ve done previously, but it’s a serious story that’s not festive at all…
