[T-shirts]

[T/N: I found a random blog entry from a fan who was claiming Nagoya castle was especially famous for shachihoko decorations, = Nagoya dialect = Poland, so his shirt is supposed to confirm their LietPol feels. Which is cute and also shows it’s not only the Western fandom searching for hints in every detail. Poland’s shirt says I ♥ Mabuyaa – mabuyaa being the devil in Okinawian folklore and also a hero of a series inspired by Okinawian tales. Ryūjin Mabuyer]

  1. Russia: It’s cold.
    Russia’s shirt: “Big Boned”

Austria’s shirt: “There are certainly no kangaroos” or “Kangaroos certainly do not exist here”

    Lithuania’s shirt: “I ♥ Shachihoko
Poland’s shirt: I can’t make out the middle character(s) sensibly. . .I think it’s まろいやー? Maroiya? There isn’t a ろ゛, even though that’s sort of how it looks. . .but it doens’t seem to actually be a word like Shachihoko. . . .
If I recall correctly, the person who posted these to the main comm originally said that they don’t mean anything in particular, instead they’re just shirts sold to tourists. Buhyou tourist Poland and Lithuania. unfortunately, I can’t seem to find that entry anymore. . .I think it was deleted. ‘~’

    1. Thanks for the help. losthitsu gave me some translations too, but I hadn’t had time to fix them, and she missed Russia’s word balloon, so I appreciate that.

This is what she gave me on Poland and Liet’s shirts (it’s interesting):

Lithuania’s shirt says I ♥ shachihoko – that being this strange carp-tiger creature usually seen on japanese castles

      1. No problem!

I was thinking it may have been “ぶ” but. There were too many lines missing so I didn’t think about it too much. orz But Himaruya’s forgotten bits of whole kanji before(or written them so messily that it’s hard to tell which it is) so I should have thought more about it. . . .

But all of that makes sense(and the LietPol feels is cute kjhkfgsd silly fandom)!
