I went! Victoria Peak really was amazing.
The noodles look kind of like a school lunch’s soft noodles. The soup is really delicious.

Today in our living quarters I went to a store that was made to look like Hong Kong fields of autumn leaves and had a ton of anime and comic goods.
Pictures were forbidden inside, so there were reports of people who had taken pictures in the past getting all messed up, and it felt like it was a very manly choice of “Do you want to die or do you want to take pictures?”
Today it was very bright and there wasn’t that sort of atmosphere at all, but I had to seal my camera while I was exploring. This is what it’s like being watched!
Hong Kong had so many interesting things that I think even after I return home I’ll be drawing things about it in my diary.
And tomorrow I’ll be coming home! I have to scan some comics.

And they have round, short and stout buses. So cute.

Today’s spoils:
There’s a nice space for Japanese history in Hong Kong bookstores, so I went ahead and bought one of the books.
It introduces lots of things from Japanese culture like stamps and candy and Hanami, using handwritten words and watercolor illustrations.
It’s cute and kind of like a picture book.

And in front of the train station I bought two really popular books.
In the back is a comic that’s fully colored. The front one is kind of like what’s called a light novel in Japan.
I don’t get much from the pictures but it looks like it’s made with a ton of silver lamé cloth which looks gorgeous.
There are lots of colored illustrations inside. I’m gonna try and read it.

I noticed the ending theme was running through my head, so to be able to listen to the full version is total happiness~.
They’ll both be on sale on the 25th.
Not to mention, Romano’s character song ended up like this.
Namikawa-san is just too awesome for having to record a double role by himself for the drama.
I’ll be happy when that episode comes on.

I drew the picture specifically for the Character Song jacket, but I’m not worried about everyone else’s being so frightfully cute.

Yesterday I managed to get everything done so I drew a comic.
Also, I’m happy I got so many responses to the Super-Speed Spinner jokes.
I got some recommendations through e-mail, and after I read them I got addicted.
There’s a NY used bookstore that has a lot of period comics so I’m really thankful.
I wanna read comics and play games.
I’m gonna play “Shinjuku no Ookami” and “Kenka Banchou” soon. Memory Beam! I am the law!
