{"id":1179,"date":"2011-07-05T15:34:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-05T20:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hetarchive.net\/blog\/2011\/07\/05\/%e6%97%a5%e6%9c%ac%e8%aa%9e%e3%81%ae%e8%b3%87%e6%96%99%e3%81%ae%e5%b0%91%e3%81%aa%e3%81%84%e5%9b%bd%e3%81%be%e3%81%a8%e3%82%81%e3%81%a6%e3%81%bf%e3%81%9f%e3%80%80%e3%82%bb%e3%83%bc%e3%82%b7%e3%82%a7\/"},"modified":"2017-10-29T06:29:48","modified_gmt":"2017-10-29T11:29:48","slug":"blog-entry-1204","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hetarchive.net\/blog\/2011\/07\/05\/blog-entry-1204\/","title":{"rendered":"I tried to summarize a country that has little info in Japanese \u2013 Seychelles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hetarchive.net\/img\/bamboothicket\/se-se.jpg\"><\/img><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0099cc\">Seychelles<\/font><\/p>\n<p>In 851 CE, it appeared in transcriptions of documents written by Arab merchants.<br \/>\nThere are legends that people lived in Seychelles before then,<br \/>\nbut with few records of this, it seems that this hasn\u2019t been completely solved yet.<\/p>\n<p>Coconuts shaped like butts that can only be found in Seychelles<br \/>\nseem to have been bought and sold for a high price among Arabs.<br \/>\nI was curious, and searched \u201cCoco de Mer\u201d on the web, and there were a ridiculous amount of butts.<br \/>\nIt seems that you can buy the nut as a souvenir, including on T-shirts or straps!<\/p>\n<p>From the end of the 16th century until 1730<br \/>\nSeychelles was a popular hideout for young pirates, and treasure on the remote island seems to remain a legend.<\/p>\n<p>After that, France landed there to make it a trading centre<br \/>\nand in 1756, the hideaway pirate island Seychelles came under the rule of France.<br \/>\nBut for some reason, between 1794 and 1810, England<br \/>\nwas the first to say, \u201cshe belongs to me\u201d, and in 1814, under the Treaty of Paris,<br \/>\nSeychelles officially came under the rule of England.<\/p>\n<p>Political prisoners were transported to Seychelles,<br \/>\nbut the place they were exiled to had widespread heavenly scenery.<br \/>\nBecause Seychelles was a paradise, people who were attracted to the charm of the island appeared one after another.<\/p>\n<p>In 1971, they opened an international airport.<br \/>\nAfter 200 years of rule by other countries, Seychelles became independent in 1976, but\u2026<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0099cc\">\u3010Seychellois Livelihood\u3011<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u30fbMiss Seychelles is passionate about music.<br \/>\n\u3000Even today they play music from various countries on the islands.<br \/>\n\u30fbIn society, moms are the centre of the family.<br \/>\n\u30fbAnd they long for France in various ways, THEY LOVE FRANCE.<br \/>\n\u3000They seem to have a somewhat trendy image.<br \/>\n\u30fbWhen it comes to religion, most Seychellois practice Christianity.<br \/>\n\u30fbAll of their systems are a mix of British and French.<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbPreviously, cinnamon and copra were the main industries,<br \/>\n\u3000but recently tourism became the main industry. They earn foreign currency from tuna fishing.<br \/>\n\u30fbThere are also factories that tin tuna!<br \/>\n\u3000Perhaps I might come across tins of Seychellois tuna somewhere\u2026?<br \/>\n\u30fbPeople primarily from the UK, France, Italy, and Germany come over to sightsee.<br \/>\n\u30fbNo charge until lower and upper secondary school.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0099cc\">\u3010Cuisine\u3011<\/font><\/p>\n<p>Being fond of spices, it has become a distinct cuisine that inherits the trends of French and Indian cuisine.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s filled with fruits typical to southern countries such as mango or papaya.<br \/>\nA unique part of the world that likes to munch on octopus.<br \/>\nSeychellois cuisine has things like seafood curry, coconut milk with gelatin, and a coconut dessert in which you mix egg and cornstarch, and skillfully season with sugar.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0099cc\">\u3010Breadfruit\u3011<\/font><\/p>\n<p>A fruit that\u2019s potentially a blunt object that\u2019s usually eaten in Seychelles.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s fibrous if you eat it while it\u2019s green,<br \/>\nbut if you eat it when it\u2019s ripe, it seems to resemble a potato or sweet potato.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Travel Journal Seychelles&#8221; by E Locken,<br \/>\n&#8220;Seychelles: A Country Study Guide&#8221; and such<br \/>\nSeychelles-related books, sure enough, are almost entirely in the English language.<br \/>\nIn many ways this is still not enough, so when I find the time, I\u2019ll dabble for resources.<\/p>\n<p><small>Translation: <a href=\"http:\/\/spaghettifelice.livejournal.com\">spaghettifelice<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/himaruya.blog61.fc2.com\/blog-entry-1204.html\">Original<\/a><\/small><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seychelles In 851 CE, it appeared in transcriptions of documents written by Arab merchants.
